Step 1: Marinate and Fry the Chicken
1. In a bowl, mix chicken cubes with cornflour, all-purpose flour, soy sauce, ginger-garlic paste, black pepper, red chilli powder, salt, and egg. Let it marinate for 20 minutes.
2. Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry the chicken until golden brown and crispy. Remove and set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Sauce
3. In a pan, heat 2 tbsp oil and sauté chopped garlic, ginger, and green chillies until aromatic.
4. Add cubed onions and capsicum, stir-fry on high heat for a minute.
5. Pour in soy sauce, red chilli sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, black pepper, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
6. Add the cornflour slurry (cornflour mixed with water) to thicken the sauce. Stir continuously to avoid lumps.
Step 3: Combine and Serve
7. Add the fried chicken pieces to the sauce and toss well until coated evenly.
8. Garnish with
spring onions and serve hot.
